There is a pleasing variety in the landscape of Sussex from the towering Seven Sisters chalk cliffs and rolling downland through to the Ashdown forest. I live close to the river Ouse (sometimes a little too close) where the soil makes for rich farmland. You can see some of these pictures on the walls of the Hurstwood Pub in High Hurstwood, where you can also enjoy Martin & Lenka’s warm hospitality and some of the best cooking in the county.
